میر سپاہ ناسزا لشکریاں شکستہ صف

میر سپاہ ناسزا لشکریاں شکستہ صف 
آہ وہ تیر نیم کش جس کا نہ ہو کوئی ہدف

 تیرے محیط میں کہیں گوہر زندگی نہیں 
ڈھونڈ چکا میں موج موج دیکھ چکا صدف صدف

 عشق بتاں سے ہاتھ اٹھا اپنی خودی میں ڈوب جا 
نقش و نگار دیر میں خون جگر نہ کر تلف

 کھول کے کیا بیاں کروں سر مقام مرگ و عشق 
عشق ہے مرگ باشرف مرگ حیات بے شرف

 صحبت پیر روم سے مجھ پہ ہوا یہ راز فاش 
لاکھ حکیم سربجیب ایک کلیم سر بکف

 مثل کلیم ہو اگر معرکہ آزما کوئی 
اب بھی درخت طور سے آتی ہے بانگ لاتخف

 خیرہ نہ کر سکا مجھے جلوۂ دانش فرنگ 
سرمہ ہے میری آنکھ کا خاک مدینہ و نجف

Hm k thery ajmbi kitni mdaratoo k bd...
Phir bnin gain ajnbi ,kitni mulaqatoo k bd...? Kb nzr ma ay gi be dagh sabzy ki bhaar... Khoon k dahby dhulain gain ,kitni brsatoo k bad... Dil na chaha pr shiksty dil na muhlat hi naa dii... Un khee batin hi reh gai boht batoo k bd....

When a delegation with President Bhutoo goes to Bangla Desh in 1974 after the separation of East Pakistan...Faiz was also with that delegation...Mr .Mujeeburehmad said to Faiz to write something for us...So when he came back to Pakistan he wrote this poem on East Pakistan...

کمال کا انتحاب ہے میرا
~ تم اپنی ہی مثال لے لوں
